Pico de Loro
The doctor said I could go to the beach! So my husband and I drove for two hours to Nasugbu, Batangas and stayed at Pico de Loro. After six weeks of bed rest, it felt absolutely incredible being on the beach, burying my toes in the sand, and taking in fresh air from the sea.
My loving husband was absolutely wonderful. He drove us there and held my hand on the beach. He didn't let me paddle on the kayak though, because the doctor said nothing too strenuous. But I was in charge of taking photos so I didn't complain too much.
I was just so happy to be out of the house and out of bed. It's nice to rest, for sure. I know most people wouldn't mind being in bed. It's an entirely different situation when the health of your unborn child rests on you staying in bed. You feel helpless, and you really have to quiet your mind and remember that the bed rest isn't for you.
Being indoors for a long time gave me a better appreciation of the outdoors. And this little beach in Batangas was the perfect place to visit. It's not too far from where we live, about two hours and some minutes away.
I didn't get a photo of the rooms, but we got a corner suite and it was really lovely and spacious. I just wanted to see nature and for a change not be cooped up in the room. Sorry!
If I'm being honest, the quality of the sand wasn't that great. But am I really going to complain about that when I'm just happy to sink my feet in it and feel the sun on my face? It was a great trip, and even though we just stayed overnight, it was good to spend time with my husband before the little one arrives.
