Festival of Lights

A very Merry Christmas in the heart of the cityI've been here five years and the Festival of Lights at Ayala Triangle Gardens never gets old. Every year they come up with fresh music and lighting designs that are truly a romance to the senses. It's great to see families come to admire the spectacle together. My little family dropped by one night, and I think Meatball properly distracted some people. This light- and sound-show runs daily, every half an hour from 6 to 10 in the evening. I try to catch it every year since it's only on for two months, around November to January.Festival-of-lights-MakatiWe love it because it's so near from where we live on Leviste. One time we brought pizza and vodka and had a great time there. And then we walked back home. It was lovely. We jog around the Gardens the other months of the year when it's not lit up like this. I don't particularly like jogging, I'm more of a slow, controlled movement kind of girl (like stretching in bed and yawning). But my husband likes it and I like him so I lace up my running shoes and put my scowl away.christmas-lights-festival-makatiI tell Paolo I'm not going to be homesick, but this is one of the things I'm going to miss. Just living in the middle of things but also being able to retreat into our own quiet space. Even though it hasn't been quiet since Meatball arrived.Paolo and MeatballWe'll see. Maybe Beijing has something like this.Have you been to Ayala Triangle Gardens?Festival of Lights in Ayala Triangle Gardens
